Good Dye Young was created by Hayley Williams, lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning band Paramore, and her longtime hair stylist and makeup artist, Brian O’Connor.

"I’m disabled so I can’t keep color fresh as often but everything I’ve used from GDY has a good slow fade and I can go longer without dying and enjoy the stages of color! I do have very short hair so ymmv but I’m a convert for life!"
"I dyed my hair with this blue color MONTHS ago. The color really stays in your hair, to the point where it's almost troublesome. Could also just be my hair (which has been lightened and dyed multiple times across 3 years). I have dyed my hair two different shades of purple and a shade of red since using this dye and the blue left over from this dye is so strong that it's now the only color that sticks in my hair. With both shades of purple I used, the reddish color faded while the blue shade stuck. And with the red shade, it only stayed in my hair for 2 weeks (2 washes) before my hair faded back to this indigo tea shade of blue. So, on the plus side, this shade of blue has staying power. On the not-so-plus side, it might prevent other colors from sticking in your hair. But, again, could also just be my hair and how it holds color and not the dye itself. If you're looking for a nice shade of blue that holds, I recommend this one."
"I LOVED the consistency of this hair color as it was easy to apply and a little went a long way as well as the color of this shade! Put it over a navy blue that was faded that I had previously and it turned it into this grey teal color and i love it :) Will be my go too semi permanent brand and color from now on!"

"This is my second time using GDY and I will continue to come back. Positives- it smells really good, the colors are great, and it leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny. Negatives - if you don’t follow the tips, it doesn’t magically work perfectly? 🤣 I used Riot on a bleached portion of my teens hair after using Glow On to cancel out a little of the purple left in her hair from her last color. The orange is so vibrant and exactly what she was hoping for. I used the Glow On to cancel out some purple left in my hair and then intelligently put Indigo Tea over one side of that yellowish green I was left with, and was a little sad that it turned out almost as green as the other side that I put Iced Matcha over. But it turned out nicely covered and it was a tad blue on that half. So, my disappointment was not due to the product, rather due to my winging it mentality 🤣 Now, I will say that 2 showers past dying, some of the blue tints have already let go of my hair so spots are looking a little more bright green than I’d expected. But again, it may be mostly operator “error” than anything because I was feeling under the weather and took a very hot shower and couldn’t convince myself to go cold before washing my hair 🫣 In conclusion, this very official hair scientist enjoys the products overall but also had way too many variables to officially declare if it is perfect or not. I’ll try better next time. 🤣"
