Sonic Wave will appear more teal and less of a true blue over the yellow tones in level 9 hair.

Level 8

Sonic Wave will give a blue tint to level 8 hair and may wash out faster.

Level 7

We do not recommend using Sonic Wave over level 7 or darker hair.

How To Use Ingredients

To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.
Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.
Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.
Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.
Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.
Rinse with cool water.

"I dont have much experience with hair dye, the only other time ive used it was with manic panic, and i got atomic turquoise and it was SO bad. This on the other hand, is amazing. I will say its a bit hard to get every area, as i did miss a few spots… but the color is sooo beautiful, and it fades AMAZINGLY. If your looking for that blue turquoise color that you can find all over pinterest, this is it. And it doesnt fade too fast, but color depositing shampoo is helpful. I will continue to buy this color, ive never felt more confident."
