How To Use Ingredients

1. To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.

2. Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.

3. Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.

4. Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.

5. Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.

6. Rinse with cool water.

"My hair was a level 7 when I dyed it. I'd lightened it to a level 8, tried two other brands for similar colors before, both of which mostly washed out after two washes and both of which I found disappointing. I've been washing my hair in the mean time to strip as much of the color as I can, and using K18 to keep it as healthy as I can. So far, Nasty is incredibly promising. This is the most pigmented I've gotten it, with the least wash-out. Gonna give it a few days to wash my hair, and will update if it all washes out in one wash."

looked magenta

"it was super easy to pply and never really stained my skin. its possible that i didnt lighten my hair enough (only to about an 8) but it was mostly magenta on my hair! i don't mind it at all, but i wanted it to kind of blend in with my hair color. attached photo is very faded. also, some parts of it faded to sonic blue which you might notice. i would still definitely reccomend since i dyed it about a month ago and it still looks vibrantly magenta in most areas!"
