How To Use Pro Tips Ingredients

To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.
Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.
Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.
Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.
Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.
Rinse with cool water.

To maximize the vibrancy of your newly semi-permanent dyed hair, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before your first shampoo. To minimize fading over time, rinse your hair with cool water each time you wash. Plus: try reducing your hair washing days to extend the color even further.

"I have been going back again and again to this color for years, I just dyed my hair with a fresh bottle and it is completely different, less vibrant, wrong shade, and overall not the color I've loved!! Before I could use a tiny bit to cover my whole head, this time I used so much and didnt even achieve the same vibrancy as the diluted original. Please bring back the original formula and ditch this one!!! 😭😭 Im so sad :("

Bright, Joyful and catches eyes.

"Divas when I tell you this is a bright yellow. It's serving highlighter yellow but more yellow. Sunshine, Sunflowers, Lemons. The yellowest of yellows. The glorious GDY formula we all know and love that leaves your hair smelling AMAZING. I experienced ALOT of random staining even after 2nd wash from SMS. I've stained bedding, my clothes, nails, hands and I wore gloves. It's not a complaint. The hair is still completely vibrant even after more washes, just something to note."
