How To Use Pro Tips Ingredients

1. To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.

2. Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.

3. Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.

4. Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.

5. Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.

6. Rinse with cool water.

On natural levels 7–10, Mystic Crystal creates a deep chocolaty purple finish with subtle richness.

For a brighter, more vibrant purple that pops more visibly in all lighting, pre-lightening to a level 8–10 is recommended. This shade can be used on natural hair, though results will appear softer and more muted than on pre-lightened hair.
