How To Use Pro Tips Ingredients

To create the best blank canvas for your color, we recommend that you first lighten your hair with our easy-to-use GDY Lightening Kit. Our semi-perms work best over pre-lightened hair, levels 7-10. Please refer to individual colors for the best starting level.
Squeeze your color into a plastic bowl. Remember: wear gloves to prevent staining on your hands.
Do a strand test before applying the color all over your hair to ensure you love the look.
Divide your hair into 4 equal sections and apply dye directly onto dry hair with a color brush or your fingers. Make sure the color is fully saturated throughout each section by applying a dollop of color for every two inch portion of your hair. Gently emulsify/massage into the hair to ensure coverage.
Let the color sit on your hair for at least 30 minutes.
Rinse with cool water.

To maximize the vibrancy of your newly semi-permanent dyed hair, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before your first shampoo. To minimize fading over time, rinse your hair with cool water each time you wash. Also, try reducing your hair washing days to extend the color even further.
We recommend pre-lightening your hair to a level 10 platinum blonde for the truest results, but Move Mountains works great on levels 8+.
If your hair lifts to a yellow shade, you don’t need to worry about toning before applying Move Mountains. It’s dark enough to cover the remaining yellow tones up.

"Color changed multiple times and it was really fun! My hair is dark brown and the ends are bleached and color stuck to both. First it was really dark green, after 2 washes it was mermaid green blue, few more washes it was very blue on the bleached parts. That’s as far as I’ve gotten so far, but I will buy again"

"I usually have no problems with GDY products. Bought this after reading reviews and thought since they were a number of years ago, the formula probably had changed, thinking I'd get the green hair I have been wanting for ages. Instead I got blue. It looks green while wet, but definitely blue when dry. I do have another tube, so maybe it will give me the green hair I desire. 🤞"

Good Dyes

"I've been pretty much a die hard fan of GDY only 1 of 3 dyes I have tried. The only issue I have is that there's no stores around me that carry it. I don't mind ordering online however. They have a bunch of dyes from bright and colorful to the more darker tones. I prefer the brighter colors since it contrasts amazingly with my dark hair. The colors last a decently long time with the proper washing instructions, and even when improperly washing dyed hair it still decently stays in. When it's time to get a new color in, the color remover I use almost completely strips it out and I'm ready for a new color. The smell is also very pleasant, It isn't harsh chemically smelling, it's a sweet somewhat floral smell. I personally recommend this to literally anyone wanting to try hair dye."

Prepare to be a chameleon

"Used this on my face-framing/money pieces, everything else is a nice, lighter purple. Started out a gorgeous dark green. Washed once, became more of a blue-y green. Second wash, very blue. Now 4/5 washes in it is electric blue in most locations, with a few strands that are almost a seafoam-y color. It's not bad by any means, and I'm real happy that all the colors it's changed have stayed a nice contrast to the purple on the rest of my hair, but overall it just wasn't quite what I was expecting or looking for color wise. I'm not sure how long I could have really classified the color as teal, it pretty much just went from very green to very blue."
