Hayley's Glitched Limelight Look at L.A. Wildfire Relief Benefit Concert

You may have seen the look that Paramore lead singer & GDY Co-Founder Hayley William rocked on stage at the G*VE A F*CK Fire Relief Concert and Auction (which donated 100% of the net proceeds to Altadena Girls, Friends in Deed, One Voice, and Pasadena Humane Society) hosted by fashion stylist Lindsey Hartman in early February — but we couldn’t give you all the dye details… until now!

Our one-and-only Hayley Williams headlined the event and unveiled a bold new look crafted by none other than fellow GDY Co-Founder, celebrity hairstylist, and resident color genius, Brian O’Connor.

The edgy vibrant look dressed up Hayley’s platinum bob with multi-colored neon yellow & green raccoon extensions that added length and face-framing dimension. The retro, acid-trip colors playfully nod to the many ultra-bold and maximalist creative color collaborations of Brian & Hayley’s pigmented past — while the trendy jellyfish silhouette is on-trend and forward-thinking. So forward-thinking that Brian even used a shade that Good Dye Young hadn’t even dropped yet: Limelight, a glowing neon green from the Glitched collection.

But finally, we can share all the details! In an interview with The Tease, here’s what Brian had to say about the behind-the-scenes color breakdown:

“The colors used were all Good Dye Young shades, some new coming in our Glitched collection neon green and the others are old shades. The navy blue was a mix – Dream Big, Killswitch, and None More Black, and the citrus yellow/orange is something I've been working on with the lab that doesn't even exist yet..." — Brian O'Connor

Okay, so not *all* the details… yet. But, we did get some more insider knowledge on the inspo behind it all:

“I think both Hayley and I have been playing it safe in terms of hair color on her lately and we just wanted to do something really fresh and exciting. I have been really inspired by a lot of Japanese hair and hairstylists and this was the product that came from that inspiration."

Thank you @gaflosangeles & @lindseyhartman for putting together such a special evening. So honored to have been a part of it.
