    I ADORE Poser Paste !

I’ve been wanting to grab a few colors for a while but living in France makes it a bit pricy, but you know what, it’s totally worth it.

I like the bold look of it, you can go very natural/hairlike or very unique and that’s what make this product so cool.

Also, it smells so good, it is not damaging your hair and it is washable.

If you are expecting this to look like dye, you will be disappointed, expect something fun, that can be a little messy at the beginning, but easy to use.

Grab it and have fun !

      Hey!

We adore this review of our Poser Paste! Poser Paste can take some practice to really master but once you get the hang of it, it’s totally worth the work! As you said, you can get a very natural look or you can go bold and it’s all completely temporary! You don’t like your first look? Wash it out and start again!

Thank you for your kind words!

      xx dye happy,

Ordered it to use for a fall/Halloween festival.

I wore it for an entire day (6-8 hours) and applied it the night before. I slept with my hair on a towel, expecting there to be some color transferring.

I did not expect, however, that throughout the day it would transfer to my shirt, jacket collar, and stain my neck (for reference, my hair is shoulder length, I wore it down for the day, and I used the paste on my entire head of hair). The color looked good for the entire day, but I did look like I had a bad rash on my neck and even got a few comments on it (lol).

The dye does make your hair a rather stiff and unpleasant texture, though that was expected. It was difficult to adjust or pull my hair over my shoulders throughout the day because the texture means some extra effort was required, and at that point you’ll get the dye on your hands if you mess with it too much.

I’ve washed my hair a few times with different shampoos since applying the paste, and while the color is out, the waxy texture remains 🙁

There is a good amount of product in the package. The 2.5 ounces was able to cover the entirety of my (thick) hair reasonably thoroughly and I still have some left over. The smell is good too. While I personally didn’t think it was too pleasant, I wasn’t bothered it and even got a few compliments on how it smelled.

I’ll likely try another color in the future- it’s a fun novelty despite the lack of practicality. I’d probably only ever do it on a weekend though, seeing how long its taking for my hair to get back to normal.

      Hello!

Our Rock Lobster Poser Paste is a temporary, pigmented hair color which is designed to wash out when you’re ready for a new look! Next time, in order to avoid a lot of transfer, we suggest avoiding sleeping with it in your hair. Poser Paste is also a wax-based styling paste which gives it more hold but does make it a bit more difficult to wash out. To really get Poser Paste out of your hair, we suggest using an exfoliating shampoo (such as our Pre-Wash) to scrub away any left over product! If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know!

      xx dye happy,

For our red dye, I tried to be simple… I wanted to name the red after something red. Like a lobster. Alas, I could not contain my extra-ness nor could I stop creating tributes out of our shade names. The B-52’s singers, Kate and Cindy, had such incredible and wacky style and their hair was always a big part of that image. So it made a lot of sense to me to pay tribute to them by naming our bold red shade after their song “Rock Lobster”. – Hayley

HOW TO APPLY
1. Take a small amount out of the jar, rub fingers together, and apply the color to clean, dry hair.
2. Start small and build up the color until you achieve the vibrancy you want. Color can be used as an accent on the ends, to paint sections of a braid, to slick back a ponytail, or to color the entire head…the only limit is your imagination.
3. The product dries quickly, so work in small sections. To tone down the color and achieve a more ‘natural’ look, brush it out right away. Otherwise, style as you apply until your heart’s content. Heat tools are fine once the product dries.
4. Wear the color as long as you want and wash it when you’re over it with your favorite shampoo. Note that you may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove the product, depending on how much you apply.

ARTISTRY TIPS

  • Consider the color of your hair when choosing a shade, as it may impact the undertone of your Poser Paste.
  • The colors mix well together. Get creative to make your own custom shade.
  • If you can’t choose just one shade, try some color blocking by using different shades on different sections of the hair.
  • BTW, this works beautifully on curly hair: scrunch it into your hair like curl cream to maintain the shape of your ringlets.

HOW TO REMOVE

  • Wet your hair and shampoo like normal. You may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove all of your Poser Paste, depending on how much you applied.
  • If color gets on your clothes, wait until it dries and use a lint roller to remove.
  • To clean your brush or comb, use makeup remover wipes to break down the product and then rinse with warm water.
  • Clean color from your hands with soap and warm water. Baby or makeup remover wipes work well if you’re on the go.
