Narwhals are my favorite animal. There are no cute videos of them on Instagram and in fact, many people still they don’t realize they actually exist! To me, this shade is more mysterious than your typical, oceanic blue. It’s a little darker, not necessarily in color tone, but in attitude. Narwhals are strange and striking creatures and they’re magical. When you wear this shade, I hope you’ll feel magical and mythical too… but you know, please also believe in yourself. – Hayley

HOW TO APPLY
1. Take a small amount out of the jar, rub fingers together, and apply the color to clean, dry hair.
2. Start small and build up the color until you achieve the vibrancy you want. Color can be used as an accent on the ends, to paint sections of a braid, to slick back a ponytail, or to color the entire head…the only limit is your imagination.
3. The product dries quickly, so work in small sections. To tone down the color and achieve a more ‘natural’ look, brush it out right away. Otherwise, style as you apply until your heart’s content. Heat tools are fine once the product dries.
4. Wear the color as long as you want and wash it when you’re over it with your favorite shampoo. Note that you may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove the product, depending on how much you apply.

ARTISTRY TIPS

  • Consider the color of your hair when choosing a shade, as it may impact the undertone of your Poser Paste.
  • The colors mix well together. Get creative to make your own custom shade.
  • If you can’t choose just one shade, try some color blocking by using different shades on different sections of the hair.
  • BTW, this works beautifully on curly hair: scrunch it into your hair like curl cream to maintain the shape of your ringlets.

HOW TO REMOVE

  • Wet your hair and shampoo like normal. You may need to shampoo more than once to fully remove all of your Poser Paste, depending on how much you applied.
  • If color gets on your clothes, wait until it dries and use a lint roller to remove.
  • To clean your brush or comb, use makeup remover wipes to break down the product and then rinse with warm water.
  • Clean color from your hands with soap and warm water. Baby or makeup remover wipes work well if you’re on the go.

I am incredibly disappointed with my recent purchase. I ordered the narwhal poster paste. It felt cheap, the texture on my hair was awful. After i tried to brush it for a more “smoother” look and it just made a mess everywhere!!

I was shopping for a lighting for my hair, looking for another item to put on my cart for the free shipping and I found this makeup hair. I really love the color, I always for the safe color so I wanted something different and see if I can try other colors.

my mom has been wanting to dye her hair for a while but was afraid of committing to any outrageous colors and thought this would be a great thing to try! unfortunately the waxy consistency of the product made it impossible to brush it through without ripping out chunks of hair, even though she tried to brush it through immediately after putting a glob on her head. i’m sure it’s fine if used on a full head of hair but i’d advise against use for anyone struggling with hair loss, as the product may inadvertently cause hair loss from brushes getting caught in it. plus, she’s shampooed her hair three times since then and her hair still has a waxy texture in the one spot where the paste was applied.

      Hi There,

Im sorry you didn’t love your experience with Poser Paste. Due to the waxy consistency we recommend using a little and building up as it can dry fast and make it difficult to brush through. I recommend watching some tutorials we have on the product to help with application in the future. Thank you for your review!

I hardly ever write bad reviews but this was just awful! I bought two containers of Poser Paste after seeing the product on GMA. I hoped it would be a way to spice up my hair for a day. Wrong! Poser Paste is marketed as “makeup for hair” and that’s exactly what it felt like. It was like coating your hair with really cheap foundation. I used a small amount of Ex-Girl (a beautiful shade of hot pink) on the hair next to my face, hoping to frame my face with streaks of color. Well the color was nice but the texture was awful! The box says to brush it for a softer look so I did. I brushed and brushed and brushed but the hair still looked and felt chunky and horrible. I thought perhaps I’d been too ambitious trying a whole stripe of hair so I tried putting Narwhal teal just on the tips of my hair. It didn’t turn out any better. In fact brushing it out just made the ends look frizzy and separated rather than hanging smoothly. I kept trying, brushing and brushing, but once the paste dried brushing just made it flake off. I ended up with little flakes all over my chest, shoulders, and bathroom counter. It was like having a really bad case of teal and pink dandruff!! In the end I was (heavily) sprinkled with flakes, my neck was tinted a lovely shade of light teal, and my hair was a dry, poofy mess. I ended up showering it out immediately. One good thing I can say is that it did wash out easily as advertised.

Maybe my hair is just too fine and long to take the color properly. It worked a little better on my dad’s mustache and beard, but only after putting on the smallest amount and brushing thoroughly so in the end there wasn’t much color.

I love having crazy, colorful hair so I was incredibly disappointed when this didn’t work.I would NOT recommend this product!
